Doors open 8pm for 8.30pm start

Admission £4 non-readers and £3 readers.

Themes to be confirmed, though these are optional and we continue to welcome all poets and all friends and listeners!

Bonfire Poetry at the Lewes Arms On Friday, 25 October 2013

A special Bonfire Poetry edition of Lewes Poetry will take place on Friday, 25 October 2013 at the Lewes Arms, Lewes.

All the poems will be about Bonfire and remembrance, and Bonfire Society members will wear their costumes.

The entertainment kicks off at 8.15pm and there will be a poetry competition with a prize.

Entrance is £5 or £4 for readers and those wearing Bonfire costumes.

New Season at Lewes Poetry

The autumn/winter season starts at Lewes Poetry on Thursday, 26 September 2013.

The club is in its sixth year and takes place nine or 10 times a year upstairs at the Lewes Arms, Mount Place, Lewes, East Sussex BN7 1YH.

We put on a huge variety poets from published poets to performance poetry stars and rappers.

No two nights are the same.

All are welcome. It is a supportive and friendly atmosphere for new and experienced readers alike.

Doors open at 8.30pm for a show at around 9pm. £5 or £4 (concessions / readers).

The next poetry night at Lewes Poetry is on 18 April 2013!

It is "Read Your Favourite Poem Night", so please bring along your fave poem/s, by yourself or another person.

Doors open at 8.15pm at the Lewes Arms, Lewes.

By the way, we are also promoting Panda Pride! - a comedy/poetry/rap show at the Hanover Community Centre, Brighton Fringe from Friday, 10 May - Sunday, 12 May 2013 (showtime 8pm). Admission £8/£6 conc, tickets available here
